Chateau Askana

About us

At Chateau Askana, wine is made from exceptional grape varieties sourced from both Guria and other regions of Georgia. In Guria: Sakmiela, Tsolikouri, and Chkhaveri. In Imereti: Tsolikouri and Krakhuna. In Racha-Lechkhumi: Tsolikouri. In Adjara: Chkhaveri. It’s worth noting that the Chkhaveri grape variety is used to produce both white and rosé wines.

At the chateau, sparkling wine is aged for a minimum of 1.5–2 years and up to a maximum of 4–5 years. Still wine, on the other hand, is produced over a period of 6–7 months.

During the harvest season, Chateau Askana processes between 100 and 1,200 tons of grapes.

Chateau Askana – the future of Gurian winemaking!

To promote Gurian winemaking and produce high-quality wines, KTW Group established Château Askana in 2021. At Château Askana, wines are produced using the European method, while sparkling wines are made using the classic method and aged in oak barrels.
