About the agro sector

Viticulture

KTW Group has established vineyards throughout Georgia, spanning over 1,500 hectares in total. From Kakheti to Guria, our vineyard footprint extends across various regions, including Kartli, Imereti, Racha, and Guria.

ChatGPT In Kakheti, within the microzones of Akhmeta, Tsinandali, Manavi, Khashmi, Akhasheni, Kindzmarauli, and Ziari, a variety of exquisite grape cultivars thrive. Among them, Khikhvi and Kisi in Akhmeta, Kakhuri green in Tsinandali, the green of Manavi in Manavi, and the distinct nest-shaped, long-grained saferavi in Khashmi stand out. Additionally, saferavi grapes flourish in Akhasheni, while Kindzmarauli and saferavi grace the microzones of Kindzmarauli and Ziari respectively. Moving to Kartli, particularly in Marani and Flavisma villages, a meticulous restoration and plantation effort has been undertaken. Here, Shavkapito, Goruli Green, Buza, Danachari, and other indigenous grape varieties have been carefully nurtured, yielding exceptional dry wines. Furthermore, the vineyard in Saguramo has been expanded to include Goruli Green, Shavkapito, Kisi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and other sought-after grape varieties. In the Dusheti region, specifically in Mchadijvari village, the KTW group has dedicated 100 hectares of land with exceptional soil to the cultivation of Shavkapito, Khikhvi, and Gori Green grape varieties. Venturing into Imereti, a significant expansion of vineyards has taken place, featuring Tsitska, Tsolikouri, Krakhuna, Otskhanuri Safere, and Chkhaveri grape varieties. Notably, in Racha, the Alexandroul-Mujuleturi vineyard has been established, while efforts to cultivate the Chkhaveri grape variety have commenced in Guria

Olive plantations

Sighnaghi district, specifically Bodbiskhevi village, serves as the prime location for KTW Group's olive cultivation endeavors. Extensive research has validated that the soil quality, climatic conditions, and air composition in this particular region of Bodbiskhevi harmoniously support olive cultivation. Additionally, the area also facilitates the growth of complementary crops such as walnuts, hazelnuts, and almonds.

Nut plantations

Hazelnut stands as one of Georgia's most ancient nut crops, boasting considerable economic significance and witnessing a steady rise in international demand. The cultivation of hazelnuts holds considerable allure, given its pivotal role in the market. In 2017, KTW Khobi established hazelnut plantations, now nurturing approximately 100 thousand Georgian-Italian hazelnut seedlings.
