This designation of origin red dry wine has been produced since 1888. It is made from the Saperavi grape variety grown in the Mukuzani microzone of the Kakheti region (at 650-750 metres above sea level). The wine is kept in oak casks for no less than six months. It has a deep ruby colour, a clearly defined delicate scent and an excellent, harmonious taste. Its shelf life is unlimited provided the air temperature does not exceed +5-20°C, with a serving temperature of +10-15°C. The clay vessel gives the wine healing properties. Each vessel is unique, of distinctive design, made by hand using traditional methods.
